Personal loan for gig workers, delivery partners and freelancers

Your income comes in weekly payouts or client invoices, not a monthly salary slip. Some weeks are packed, some are quiet. You can apply all the same.

On the Rinn app you can borrow ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000 and repay it over 3 to 24 months. Loans come from RBI-regulated lending partners, with no upfront fee, and you see the EMI and every charge before you say yes.

Can gig workers get a personal loan in India?

Yes. On Rinn, gig workers and freelancers can apply on the same conditions as everyone else: age 18 to 55, a PAN, Aadhaar e-KYC and a savings account in your own name.

This page is for you if you're:

  • A delivery partner for a food-delivery or quick-commerce platform, on a bike, a cycle or on foot.
  • A driver on a ride-hailing or bike-taxi platform.
  • A home-services professional booked through an app: beauty, cleaning, repairs, plumbing, electrical work.
  • A freelancer in design, writing, coding, photography, video, tutoring or any other skill you invoice for.

Pick an EMI for your slowest month

How much EMI is safe on a variable income? One that you could still pay in your worst month of the last six.

Here's a quick check. Open your bank app, find your lowest month in the last six, and take off fuel, phone recharge and anything else the work itself costs you. That's your number. Your EMI should sit comfortably inside it, with room for food, rent and a puncture.

Example EMI at 16% p.a. Against a ₹22,000 lowest month
₹25,000 over 6 months ₹4,363 about a fifth
₹50,000 over 12 months ₹4,537 just over a fifth
₹1,00,000 over 24 months ₹4,896 about 22%

Illustration at the 16% p.a. starting rate, on a reducing balance, excluding any charges. The lender sets your amount, rate and EMI, and shows them in your Key Fact Statement before you accept.

Notice the trade: the same EMI can clear a short loan fast, or a bigger one slowly. Shorter costs less interest in total. Play with both in the personal loan EMI calculator.

How to apply on Rinn

Apply between orders, between trips or between client calls. It's all on your phone.

Step 1. Download Rinn. Get it from Google Play and check the developer is Rinncrest Financial Technologies Private Limited.

Step 2. Tell us how you earn. The work you do, what it adds up to over a year, and how much would help.

Step 3. Complete your KYC. PAN, Aadhaar e-KYC and a live selfie, inside the app.

Step 4. Share income proof if the lender asks. The app tells you exactly what's needed. It helps to have your payouts land in a savings account in your own name: a clear run of credits is the simplest record of income. Never send documents by WhatsApp, SMS or email.

Step 5. Review your offer. The lender reviews your application within minutes. If it makes you an offer, your Key Fact Statement shows the rate, EMI, APR and every charge before you accept.

If a week goes badly

Gig income has bad weeks: a breakdown, a fever, a platform that goes quiet. If you can see an EMI will be hard, tell us early through Help in the app, before the due date. You'll be treated with respect, and every contact follows the lender's Fair Practices Code and RBI's rules. How you'll be treated →

Your EMIs go only to the lender's account, never to a person, a personal UPI ID or in cash.

No upfront fee, ever. If anyone asks you to pay to release a loan, it isn't us. Verify it's really us →
