1. About this policy

1.1 This policy applies to the website rinncrest.in, run by Rinncrest Financial Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62099WB2026PTC287520), registered office 2nd Floor, Flat-2, Shivalik, 42, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Tollygunge, Kolkata 700033, West Bengal. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Rinncrest.

1.2 It does not cover the Rinn app for Android. How the app handles your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1.3 What cookies are. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, store or read information on your device in comparable ways. In this policy, "cookies" includes them all.

1.4 Types of cookie. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used. First-party cookies are set by rinncrest.in. Third-party cookies are set by another organisation's service used on our site. Persistent cookies stay for the period shown below.

1.5 The law. We follow the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, which are in force today. We also follow the standard set by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, whose main obligations apply from 13 May 2027. We have chosen to meet that standard now. We use analytics cookies to understand and improve the site, and you can opt out as described in section 3.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a service from Google, to understand website traffic: which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site, what device and browser they use, and their approximate location. We use this to improve the site. It sets the following cookies.

2.2 The names and durations above are Google's defaults, as listed in Google's own documentation ("Cookies and user identification", Google Analytics Help). <container-id> is a short code that identifies our Google Analytics data stream. Google can change these without notice, and we will update this page when we learn of it. Separately, Google Analytics (GA4) event data is kept for 14 months, which is our GA4 data-retention setting.

2.3 Strictly necessary. Our pages do not need cookies to work. The calculators and the eligibility self-check keep what you type in your browser's memory while the page is open. They do not save it in a cookie or in local storage, and they do not send it to us or to Google Analytics.

2.4 What we do not use. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing or retargeting, social media pixels, or any tool that builds a profile of you across other sites. We do not sell your data.

3. Your choices

3.1 No cookie banner. Google Analytics cookies are set when you visit. The site works fully with or without them, and you can opt out as described below.

3.2 Cookie Policy link. A link to this policy is in the footer of every page. To stop analytics, use your browser settings or Google's add-on below.

3.3 Your browser. You can block or delete cookies, including Google Analytics cookies, in your browser settings. Each browser does this differently, so check its help pages. Because our pages do not need cookies to work, blocking them should not stop the site working.

3.4 Google's opt-out add-on. You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any site by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (external site).

3.5 Your other rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and you can complain if you are unhappy. See sections 11 and 16 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Google's role and where data goes

4.1 When you visit, your browser sends information about your visit to Google. It includes the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. It is linked to a random identifier stored in the _ga cookie, not to your name, phone number or any loan details.

4.2 IP addresses. Google states that in Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are not logged or stored. Google may still use the connection to work out your approximate location.

4.3 Google's role. Google provides the analytics service and processes this data for us. Google's own use of data collected through its services is explained in Google's Privacy Policy (external site) and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (external site).

4.4 Where the data goes. Website analytics is collected and processed by Google and may be processed outside India. The statement that data is stored in India covers Rinn app and user account data, not website analytics. We use Google Analytics for website measurement only. Pending confirmation: Google Analytics settings (advertising features off, data sharing off).

4.5 How long it is kept. Google Analytics (GA4) event data is kept for 14 months, which is our GA4 data-retention setting. The _ga and _ga_<id> cookies expire after 2 years.

4.6 Reports we see. We see reports made from the data, such as the number of visitors to a page. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you, and we do not use it to make any decision about a loan.

5. Changes to this policy

5.1 We will update this policy when we add or change a cookie, change our analytics tool, or when the law changes. The version number and effective date at the top always show the current version.

5.2 If we add a new type of cookie, we will list it on this page.
