Legal and regulatory information
Terms of Use and website disclaimer
This document has two Parts. Part A is the agreement for using the website and the Rinn app. Part B explains what the information, tools and forward-looking statements on the website can and cannot be relied on for. Both Parts form one set of Terms.
Part A — Terms of Use
1. About these terms
1.1 These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Rinncrest Financial Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with CIN U62099WB2026PTC287520 and its registered office at 2nd Floor, Flat-2, Shivalik, 42, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Tollygunge, Kolkata 700033, West Bengal ("Rinncrest", "we", "us", "our").
1.2 By visiting the Website, or by downloading, registering on or using the App, you agree to these Terms, including Part B. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1.3 These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. They do not need a physical or digital signature to be binding.
1.4 These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy (including consent and app permissions) and our Digital lending disclosures. Where personal data relating to your loan is concerned, the lender's privacy policy also applies.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- "App" or "Rinn" means the Rinn mobile application for Android, published on Google Play by Rinncrest.
- "Website" means rinncrest.in and its sub-pages.
- "Platform" means the Website and the App together, and the services Rinncrest provides through them.
- "Lender" means the RBI-regulated non-banking financial company (NBFC) or bank that sanctions and disburses your Loan. The Lender for your Loan is named in your Key Fact Statement and loan agreement, and all current lending partners are listed on our Lending Partners page.
- "LSP" means a Lending Service Provider as described in the RBI (Digital Lending) Directions, 2025.
- "Loan" means any credit facility that the Lender sanctions to you through the App.
- "Loan Documents" means the Lender's loan agreement, sanction letter, Key Fact Statement and any other document the Lender issues to you for a Loan.
- "Key Fact Statement" or "KFS" means the standardised statement the Lender gives you before you accept a Loan, setting out the interest rate, Annual Percentage Rate (APR), all charges, the repayment schedule, the cooling-off period and grievance contacts.
- "Account" means the account you create on the App.
- "Applicable Law" means all laws, rules, regulations and binding directions in force in India, including those issued by the Reserve Bank of India.
- "You" means the individual using the Platform.
3. Who does what
3.1 Rinncrest is a Lending Service Provider. We operate the Platform and, under a written agreement with the Lender, perform specified functions on the Lender's behalf — such as sourcing and onboarding applicants, supporting identity verification, customer communication, loan-servicing support and, as the Lender's authorised recovery agent, reminders and collections. The full list is on our Digital lending disclosures page.
3.2 Rinncrest does not lend, and is not a bank or NBFC. We do not take deposits. We do not decide whether you get a Loan, how much, or at what rate. We do not hold, pool or route your loan money or your repayments through our own accounts.
3.3 The Lender decides and lends. The Lender assesses your application under its own credit policy, decides whether to sanction a Loan, sets the amount, interest rate and terms, disburses the Loan directly to your bank account, and receives your repayments directly into accounts in its own name.
3.4 Your Loan is a contract with the Lender. The Loan Documents — not these Terms — govern your Loan. They are presented to you in the App before you accept, and the Lender's Loan Terms and Conditions are published on its website Pending confirmation: URL of the Lender's Loan Terms and Conditions.. If anything in these Terms, or anything else on the Platform, conflicts with the Loan Documents on a matter concerning the Loan, the Loan Documents prevail.
3.5 Our lending partners. Rinn may offer loans from more than one Lender. Where it does, we will name each Lender on the Platform, show you matching offers neutrally and tell you which Lender is behind each offer, as the RBI (Digital Lending) Directions, 2025 require.
4. Eligibility to use the Platform
4.1 You may browse the Website without an Account. To create an Account or use the App, you must:
(a) be an individual resident in India; (b) be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872; (c) use a mobile number registered in your own name; and (d) not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform for breaching these Terms.
4.2 Applying for a Loan requires you to meet the Lender's eligibility criteria, which are separate from, and stricter than, clause 4.1. They currently include being aged 18 to 55 Pending confirmation (F-28)., with a valid PAN and a savings bank account in your own name. See Who can apply. The Lender may change its criteria at any time.
4.3 You may use the Platform only for yourself. You may not apply on behalf of another person, or allow anyone else to use your Account.
5. Your Account and its security
5.1 You register with your mobile number, verified by a one-time password (OTP). You must give us accurate, current and complete information and keep it up to date.
5.2 You are responsible for keeping your device, OTPs, PIN and any other credentials secret. Rinncrest and Rinn will never ask you for an OTP, PIN, password or card details by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or social media. Anyone who does is not us — see Verify it's really us.
5.3 Tell us straight away through in-app Help, at support@rinncrest.in, or at grievance@rinncrest.in if you believe your Account has been accessed without your permission, or if your mobile number or SIM is lost or changed. We will help you secure the Account.
5.4 You are responsible for activity on your Account that results from your sharing credentials or failing to keep them secure. You are not responsible for activity that results from our negligence or a failure of our systems.
6. Licence to use the Platform and prohibited use
6.1 We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose: to learn about and apply for Loans, and to manage any Loan you take, in line with these Terms.
6.2 You must not:
(a) give false, misleading or someone else's information, documents or identity; (b) use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose, including money laundering; (c) copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the App, except as permitted by law; (d) use bots, scrapers or automated means to access, monitor or extract data from the Platform; (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other users' accounts or our systems, or interfere with their security or operation (good-faith security research under our responsible disclosure programme is welcome); (f) introduce malware or any harmful code; (g) impersonate Rinncrest, Rinn, the Lender or any of our staff or agents, or use our names or branding in a way that may mislead anyone; or (h) resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Platform.
7. Applying for a Loan — no guarantee of sanction
7.1 When you apply, the App collects the information and consents the Lender needs. Each consent is asked for separately, with a notice explaining what is collected and why. A credit-bureau enquiry is made only with your separate, explicit consent.
7.2 Applying does not guarantee a Loan. No one is guaranteed a Loan. The Lender may approve your application, approve a different amount or tenure, or decline it, at its sole discretion under its credit policy. Eligibility tools, calculators and any indicative figures on the Platform are estimates only — see Part B, clauses 24 to 26.
7.3 Timelines vary; the App shows you each stage of your application. We do not promise any approval or disbursal time.
7.4 If your application is declined, the App will tell you. Data collected for a declined application is handled as described in the data-retention section of our Privacy Policy. Pending confirmation: rejected-application deletion rule.
7.5 Before you accept any Loan, the App shows you the Lender's name, your KFS and the Loan Documents. Read them. Accept only if you understand and agree. You can ask the Lender or us any question before you accept.
8. Fees and charges
8.1 Rinncrest charges you nothing. Creating an Account, using the Platform and applying for a Loan are free.
8.2 No upfront fee is ever collected before disbursal — not by us, not by the Lender, and not by anyone acting for either of us. If anyone asks you to pay to "process", "approve", "insure" or "release" a Loan, it is fraud. Do not pay, and report it on 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in (external site), and to us.
8.3 Any charges the Lender applies to a Loan, such as a processing fee, are shown in your KFS before you accept. Nothing that is not in the KFS can be charged to you at any stage of the Loan without your explicit consent.
8.4 Rinncrest is paid for its services by the Lender, under its agreement with the Lender. That payment is never passed on to you as a separate charge.
9. Key Fact Statement and cooling-off period
9.1 Your KFS is the authoritative statement of the terms and cost of your Loan. It includes the APR, which reflects the all-in annual cost of the Loan including interest and charges.
9.2 You can exit a Loan during the cooling-off period stated in your KFS by repaying the principal and the proportionate APR, without any prepayment penalty. Pending confirmation: period set by the Lender's Board. See Changed your mind? The cooling-off period.
9.3 After the cooling-off period, prepayment and foreclosure are governed by the Loan Documents. Not yet published: foreclosure and part-prepayment rules.
10. Repayments — only to the Lender
10.1 All repayments go directly to the Lender, into accounts held in the Lender's name, through the App or the e-mandate (such as NACH or UPI AutoPay) you authorise in the App. Pending confirmation: mandate types.
10.2 Never make a repayment to an individual's bank account, a personal UPI ID, a QR code shared by message, or in cash. A payment made that way may not reach the Lender and may not be credited to your Loan.
10.3 Rinncrest never receives or holds your repayments. Any settlement, waiver or restructuring of a Loan is valid only if it is confirmed to you in writing by the Lender. See Repaying your loan and, if a repayment is missed, our recovery practices.
11. Communications and consent
11.1 By creating an Account you agree that we and the Lender may contact you on the mobile number and email you give us, by SMS, email, in-app notification, WhatsApp or phone call, about your Account, applications, Loan, repayments, security and service. These communications are part of the service and cannot be switched off while you have an Account or a Loan.
11.2 We will send you promotional messages only if you separately opt in. You can withdraw that consent at any time in the App or by writing to support@rinncrest.in Pending confirmation (F-59).. Declining or withdrawing marketing consent never affects your application or Loan.
11.3 Calls with our team may be recorded for quality, training, dispute resolution and regulatory purposes. You will be told at the start of a recorded call.
11.4 All our official emails come from @rinncrest.in. We follow the standards in our Fair practices and recovery code, including calling hours.
11.5 You agree to receive documents, including your KFS, Loan Documents and statements, electronically. You can ask the Lender for a copy at any time.
11.6 WhatsApp messages are sent and received through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), and WhatsApp's own terms apply to your use of WhatsApp. Never send an OTP, PIN or password on WhatsApp. Photos, videos, documents and voice notes you send us on WhatsApp are deleted 30 days after the day you send them. To delete your WhatsApp chat history and other account data, see Delete your account and data.
12. Your data
12.1 How personal data is collected, used, shared, stored and deleted is explained in our Privacy Policy. For personal data relating to your Loan, the Lender is the Data Fiduciary and Rinncrest processes that data on the Lender's documented instructions. For data you give us through the Website (for example, an enquiry form or a pre-application tool), Rinncrest is the Data Fiduciary. Pending confirmation (F-87).
12.2 The App does not access your contacts, SMS, call logs, photo gallery or media files, or the list of apps on your device. See consent and app permissions.
12.3 You can ask to delete your Account at any time at Delete your account and data. Records the law requires to be kept will be retained for the required period and then deleted.
13. Intellectual property
13.1 The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, data compilations and the Rinncrest name and logo, belongs to Rinncrest or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property law.
13.2 Nothing on the Platform grants you any right to use our names, logos or marks. Trademark notices, including for "Rinn", Android and Google Play, are in clause 31.
13.3 If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the Platform without any obligation to you. We will not publish your name or personal data with your feedback without your consent.
14. Third-party services and links
14.1 The Platform uses regulated third-party providers for functions such as e-KYC, PAN and bank-account verification, credit-bureau enquiries, e-mandate registration and payments. When you use these functions, the provider's own terms may also apply, and you will be shown them where they do.
14.2 The categories of providers and what each receives are listed in the service-providers section of our Privacy Policy.
14.3 The Website links to third-party websites, including the Lender's website, RBI's portals and Google Play. We provide these links for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
14.4 Check the address of any website before entering personal information. Our only website is rinncrest.in. See Verify it's really us.
15. Availability and your statutory rights
15.1 We work to keep the Platform available, accurate and secure, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the Platform for maintenance, security or regulatory reasons, and will give notice in the App where we reasonably can.
15.2 Nothing in these Terms, including Part B, excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under Applicable Law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
16. Limitation of liability
16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
(a) fraud or wilful misconduct by us or our staff; (b) our negligence, or a deficiency in our service, to the extent liability cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; (c) our failure to protect your personal data as required by Applicable Law; or (d) any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
16.2 Subject to clause 16.1, we are not liable for:
(a) any decision of the Lender, including a decision to decline, approve, price or recall a Loan; (b) losses caused by your sharing your credentials or device, or by your breach of these Terms; (c) payments you make to anyone other than the Lender through the channels in clause 10; (d) events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, failures of public telecom or power networks, or actions of government — provided we take reasonable steps to limit their effect; or (e) indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the Platform.
16.3 Subject to clause 16.1, our total liability to you arising out of your use of the Platform is limited to ₹10,000 or the amount of loss you actually suffered, whichever is lower. Pending confirmation: Terms liability cap amount and structure — counsel to approve.
16.4 Liability in relation to your Loan itself is governed by the Loan Documents.
17. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Rinncrest for reasonable losses, costs and legal expenses that we actually incur as a direct result of your (a) deliberately giving false or forged information or documents, (b) fraud, or (c) deliberate misuse of the Platform in breach of clause 6. This clause does not apply to honest mistakes, and it does not make you liable for anything caused by our own fault.
18. Suspension and termination
18.1 You can close your Account at any time through the App or at Delete your account and data. If you have an outstanding, pending or approved Loan, the Account must stay open until the Loan is closed or the application is withdrawn, because you need it to see your Loan and repay. Closing your Account does not end your obligations under any Loan.
18.2 We may suspend or close your Account if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, given false information, used the Platform fraudulently, or that this is necessary to comply with Applicable Law or a direction of a regulator, court or law-enforcement agency. Unless the law or a security reason prevents us, we will tell you why, and you can contest the decision through the grievance process in clause 20.
18.3 Suspension or closure of your Account does not affect your right to see and repay an existing Loan. We will keep giving you a way to do so, or the Lender will.
18.4 Clauses that by their nature should survive termination — including clauses 10, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20 and 22, and Part B — continue to apply.
19. Governing law, jurisdiction and disputes
19.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
19.2 Try the grievance process first. Most problems are fixed fastest through clause 20, and we ask you to use it before starting formal proceedings. Doing so costs nothing.
19.3 Arbitration. Any dispute between you and Rinncrest arising out of these Terms that is not resolved within 30 days of a written complaint may be referred by either party to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. If the parties cannot agree on an arbitrator within 30 days, the arbitrator will be appointed as provided in that Act. Rinncrest will never be the sole appointing party. The seat and venue of arbitration is Kolkata; you may ask for hearings to be held online. The proceedings will be in English, or in Hindi or Bengali if you ask. Pending confirmation: arbitration seat and mechanism to be approved by counsel.
19.4 Courts. Subject to clause 19.3, the courts at Kolkata have jurisdiction. Pending confirmation (F-88).
19.5 Your statutory routes stay open. Nothing in this clause 19 prevents you from (a) filing a complaint with a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, (b) complaining to the RBI Ombudsman under the RBI Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021, or (c) complaining to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where those routes are available to you.
19.6 Disputes about your Loan are governed by the dispute-resolution terms in the Loan Documents.

22.4 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and Rinncrest about the Platform. The Loan Documents are a separate agreement between you and the Lender.
22.5 Language. These Terms are written in English. If we publish a translation and there is a difference, the English version prevails, but we will resolve any genuine misunderstanding in your favour where it arose from the translation.
22.6 Notices. We will send notices to the mobile number or email on your Account. You can send notices to us at our registered office or grievance@rinncrest.in.
Part B — Website disclaimer
This Part explains what the information and tools on the Website can and cannot tell you. It applies to everyone who visits the Website, whether or not they have an Account, and uses the definitions in clause 2.
23. Regulatory status
23.1 Rinncrest is a Lending Service Provider and does not lend; the Lender decides every application and sets every rate (clause 3).
23.2 Rinn appears in the Reserve Bank of India's public directory of Digital Lending Apps, as reported by our lending partners, which are RBI-regulated lenders. The directory lets anyone check that an app is associated with a regulated lender. Appearing in it is not an approval, endorsement or certification of Rinn or Rinncrest by RBI. Pending confirmation (F-17).
23.3 Rinncrest's ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications concern its management systems. They are not a licence to lend or to provide payment services.
23.4 Full detail: Digital lending disclosures.
24. No offer of credit
24.1 Information on the Website about loans — including amounts, tenures, rates and eligibility — describes the product generally. It is not an offer of credit and does not create any obligation on Rinncrest or the Lender. Whether you get a Loan, and on what terms, is decided only as described in clause 7.
24.2 The figures we publish — loans from ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000, tenures of 3 to 24 months, interest starting from 16% p.a. — describe the range available. The amount, tenure and rate offered to you depend on the Lender's assessment of your application, and may differ from the starting figures.
24.3 Product features, eligibility criteria, rates and charges are set by the Lender and may change without notice on the Website. If anything on the Website differs from your KFS or Loan Documents, the KFS and Loan Documents prevail for your Loan.
25. Loan eligibility tools
25.1 The eligibility checker and any eligibility information on the Website are based on the general criteria the Lender has shared with us and on the information you enter.
25.2 A positive result means only that you appear to meet those general criteria. It is not an approval, a sanction or a pre-approved offer. The Lender's decision follows a full application, identity verification and, with your separate consent, a credit-bureau check.
25.3 A negative result is not a final decision either. It means that, on the information entered, you do not appear to meet the current criteria.
25.4 How we handle any information you enter is explained in our Privacy Policy.
26. Calculators
26.1 The, the affordability calculator and any EMI figures on the Website are illustrations. Unless stated otherwise, they assume interest at the starting rate of 16% p.a., calculated on a reducing balance with monthly instalments, and exclude any fees or charges. Pending confirmation: reducing-balance method.
26.2 Your actual EMI, total interest, total repayable and Annual Percentage Rate depend on the rate and charges the Lender offers you, which are shown in your KFS. Illustrations are rounded to the nearest rupee.
26.3 The affordability calculator gives a general guide based on the figures you enter. It does not take account of your full financial situation and is not a recommendation to borrow.
26.4 Calculator results are not stored unless the page tells you otherwise.
27. General information, not advice
27.1 Information on the Platform — including help pages, FAQs and, when published, articles in Learn (page not available yet) — is general information, prepared with care and reviewed periodically. It is not financial, tax, legal or credit advice, and may not reflect the latest change in law or regulation. Whether a Loan suits you depends on your circumstances.
27.2 Before borrowing, consider whether you can comfortably afford the repayments. If you are unsure, speak to an independent adviser.
28. Accuracy
28.1 We work to keep the Website accurate and current, and show a "Last updated" date on key pages. Errors may still occur. If you spot one, please tell us at contact@rinncrest.in Pending confirmation (F-54)..
29. Forward-looking statements (lender and investor pages)
29.1 Pages for lenders and institutions (under For Lenders) and for investors (Investors) describe Rinncrest's current capabilities and also its plans, intentions and ambitions — for example, capabilities marked "Being built" or "Planned", additional lending partners, new products, and long-term goals.
29.2 Statements about the future are based on our current expectations and assumptions. They are not promises or guarantees, and actual outcomes may differ materially because of factors including regulatory change, market conditions, partner decisions, technology development and the performance of loans. We update capability statuses when they change but are not obliged to update every forward-looking statement.
29.3 Experience figures on those pages describe the accumulated experience of the people and operating network behind Rinncrest, not the trading history of the company, which was incorporated in March 2026.
29.4 Market data quoted on those pages is attributed to its source and period. We have not independently verified third-party data.
30. Not an offer of securities or investment advice
30.1 Nothing on the Website is an offer, invitation or solicitation to subscribe for or buy any shares, debentures or other securities of Rinncrest, or an advertisement of any such offer. Rinncrest is a private company and does not offer securities to the public.
30.2 Nothing on the Website is investment advice or a recommendation. No information on the Website should be relied on in making an investment decision.
31. Trademarks
31.1 The Rinncrest name and logo belong to Rinncrest Financial Technologies Private Limited. An application to register "Rinn" as a trade mark has been filed and is pending.
31.2 Android is a trademark of Google LLC. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.
31.3 The names and marks of the Lender belong to it. Other names and marks shown on the Platform belong to their respective owners, and their use does not imply any endorsement of Rinncrest.
